STORY BOARD NUMBER TWO
The Sacrifice
Marianna could not understand why she was feeling this way.
Her heart ached so deeply that it was a literal pain that felt
as if someone was twisting a knife in her chest. How could it
have come to this. She had been told many times of her coldness,
her inability to love. Just a week ago things were so different.
She knew that right now, she should be terrified. Her own life was
at stake, but the only thing she cared about was the life of another.
The life of the unconscious man who's head lay on her lap. This man,
who had risked and maybe even given his life for her.In the distance,
she could here them coming, the sound was all too familiar. She was
motivated, not by fear, but by determination to save and protect him.
The sounds got closer and closer still, then stopped and began to fade
away. She sat silent and her mind began to drift. She thought back to
one week ago, when it all started. Back when her heart was still as icy
cold as a winter storm.
